Political Campaigns
CLIENT: VARIOUS
Through connections in the Colorado progressive politics scene, I was recruited to serve as a Lead Designer on numerous campaigns. Each campaign has its own nuances, with different perspectives and voices informing the work. For each of these campaigns, I helped plot a communications strategy, build a brand through logos, websites, and promotional collateral, and respond to shifting political landscapes. Often going up against big business interests with infinitely deep pockets, we had to be nimble, creative, and community focused, calling on grassroots connections to help make big changes.

Fair Tax Colorado
Fair Tax Colorado launched in 2019 as an effort to pass a progressive tax code in Colorado. I created the logo and all marketing collateral for the campaign. This included promotional videos & graphics, fact sheets, volunteer communications, and more. Though the pandemic threw a wrench in the signature collection process, Fair Tax Colorado marks the largest effort to pass a progressive tax code in our state, and built momentum to achieve success in the future.

No on proposition 121
Proposition 121 was a republican backed measure to cut Colorado’s income tax rate. This harmful measure would reduce the state’s ability to fund education and infrastructure needs, and give the biggest savings to the wealthiest Coloradans. I worked as the lead designer on the campaign which featured an ad produced by RELIGHT creative. I fully built and designed the landing page for the campaign, all marketing collateral, digital ads, and more.

Why $750?
In the summer of 2022 every single Coloradan got an equal check of $750. Why750.org existed to explain why. In an act of tax fairness, stage legislators passed a bill requiring TABOR tax rebates to be equal rather than using TABOR’s typical regressive mechanisms which send the biggest payouts to the richest Coloradans. This fact, which was worth celebrating, became lost in the political rhetoric from both sides of the capitol.
Why $750 was a campaign consisting of digital advertising, a billboard, and a microsite, all of which I designed, and led to thousands of Coloradans learning more about tax fairness in their state.
